Intelligent Systems in Borehole Rescue Operations: A Survey of Current Technologies
Keywords:
Boreholes, Sensor Technology, Detection through Drones, IoT TechnologiesAbstract
In this paper, the issue of children, who often fall into boreholes, is looked at,it leads to sadness for involved families, and it's a problem that happens frequently. It's very essential to consider methods that work effectively for rescuing children in such situations. Different current methods were examined, methods like digging near boreholes or using robots were mentioned for the rescue tasks. However, significant challenges exist with these methods because they often require much time, can be unsafe sometimes, and don’t always produce the intended results. After examining these, new ideas were then discussed that are being thought of to improve the rescue process. These ideas involve using certain types of sensors, drones equipped with cameras, and various advanced robotic devices designed for the task. Highlights of these innovative concepts were discussed in relation to how they could potentially help in saving a child trapped in a well. The argument presented is that new types of technologies, as seen with the Internet of Things, robotics, and systems involving computer vision, can contribute to making rescues not only faster but also significantly better as well.
